We officially opened our brand-new academy here in Danville, just one month ago today. The very first question I got was from a woman that came in just to check out what we had to offer and see how it could help her fully recover after an injury. She asked me, “So, what can I do to help me learn Gracie Jiu Jitsu on my own, at home?” It didn’t take long for Meghan to see the benefits and get hooked on Jiu Jitsu.
What exactly can you do at home, on your own to improve your Jiu Jitsu?
So, because of the reality-based applications of training Gracie Jiu Jitsu, it can be a bit tough to do on your own. My answer to Meghan was, “drilling”. I went right to work on a video for her and anyone else interested in advancing their Jiu Jitsu at home (see video below).
Drill to learn, Drill to succeed
There are hundreds and hundreds of solo drills and exercises you can do to improve your Jiu Jitsu. These aren’t necessarily specific techniques, but more so muscle memory development drills to mimic the proper movement required to excel in Gracie Jiu Jitsu.
Here’s the video I made and sent to Meghan, it has a few simple drills that will help improve anyone’s movement and skills for Jiu Jitsu…
